My friend gave me a computer to play around with.. I have to reformat it Saturday to get complete specs but this is what I know...
346 Intel Celeron Processor.. 512 mb memory ( I have more)..100 gb hard drive... Integrated ATI RADEON Xpress 200..
Its a compaq presario sr1800nx. Not a Frankenstein.
One of my computers cannot handle source. can this?

The CPU is a tad weak for CSS since the orange box is pretty cpu intensive. The graphics card can be better, but I don't think it'll run all the zombie models and such very smoothly.
It's an ok computer, but the only way you can really tell is to test CSS on it. Let us know what the results are!

The processor will do an OK job of keeping up with css, as long as there isnt much else running in the background. The graphics card is what I think will be a problem. I think that will be the weak point of the computer for css. If i is a bit laggy on css, there should be the ability to upgrade to a different graphics card if u want to
