The phone I am using is the Galaxy Note 4.

It's using my data plan (15G for a family of 5), so I am not sure if it would be wise to do more than just browse the web and chat on Steam like I do with my phone. Nice to be using a keyboard instead of the phone screen though.

Google says CS:GO (I searched for CS:S) uses around 100-200 mb/hour. Maybe I could play a little bit?

This has been an option in Android for a while.

Who's your carrier? For me (US Cellular) I have tethering built into my plan and I have 5GB. I mainly play League of Legends which uses about 50MB per about 45min gme. I'm sure CS GO is similar so you should be able to do something similar. Your ping is going to probably be fairly high, depending on what you consider good, probably around 50-100ms if not more.

It's not ideal, oviously, but it works for sure and is better than nothing.

If you have wifi in the area, you can USB tether it to your PC, you just can't rebroadcast a wifi network with your phone, without a separate adapter.

I use USB tethering whenever I set up a new PC usually to download drivers and what not because I'm super lazy lol.

I've known about tethering, but have never really bothered to figure it out. We shut off our Internet on the 6th and we were suppose to have new Internet on the 8th. For a reason I don't completely understand, it'll probably actually be another week or two before I have Internet at home again. My little brother showed my mom how to tether off her iPhone so she can use her iPad. I still didn't bother learning to tether because the Galaxy Note 4 has a big screen, but I was curious and Googled it. Saw that all I do to do was plug i in it, select wifi options, and select USB or Bluetooth tethering (plugging it in obviously for USB).

My phone's Internet speed is faster than what my ISP was I think. :P Our previous ISP was really bad.

Sadly I have a max of 4mbit (yes mbit) max. I usually get about 1-2mbit wired. We're supposed to get upgraded sometime this summer, but we'll see. This is the only thing other than satellite sadly available here.
