There's not a lot of content and Netflix only just announced their pricing plan for 4k content this week (which is demanding)

I'm grandfathered in on the netflix plan. I know there isn't a lot of content now but mid-2015 is supposed to be when 4k will start hitting blu-ray

I'd recommend waiting until new models are out. I personally think the Samsung one is pretty cool. Perhaps you could wait for any updates on them.

Perhaps if you camp out and kill anyone you see that comes near them.

I mean you could getaway with the LG line of 4K, though they seem to be obsessed with curved recently. I'm a strong Sony TV believer since their stuff looks amazing. Wait for a Sony 4K TV hopefully next year.

Else wait till Black Friday for a cheap deal I guess.

I'd wait for another year at least. Aside from gaming and some netflix/blurays, there won't be anything else running at that res for awhile(OTA might adopt soon, but forget pay tv in a reasonable timeframe). Like you said, more (probably better) models/makers will exist as time goes on. They'll also be cheaper too.

I don't have a big enough place for a curved TV to have any effect. The Sony TV looks pretty amazing but it's passive 3D and the Samsung model is active 3D.

My safest bet as well. Be better to hunt for some cheap deals.
