Any Japanese pFers?

I'm planning on traveling to Tokyo/Kyoto in October. Are there any Japanese pFers that would be willing to host a gaijin or at least be willing to show one around the city? I'd rather not stay at a capsule hotel for my two weeks in Japan

personally speaking, summer isn't the best time to visit Japan due to lack of cherry blossoms, Alpine Route ice formations and lack of snow in Mt Fuji.

those 3 are the most iconic Japanese sceneries according to travel agents around here (but those are not in Kyoto and Tokyo)
not to mention the heat, especially in Tokyo's reclaimed land.

but if you're going to the beach, you should try Okinawa, (really far south, off the main island) as my local tour guide back then recommended it (I didn't get the chance to visit).
also can you get me a pack of Tokyo Bananas? it's in one of the subway stations in Tokyo (forgot which one), and go visit the doge statue and the iconic most crowded crossing in Japan which is featured a lot in many documentaries and movies in Shibuya

what I dislike about Japan is that free wi-fi is hard to get in public but is almost in all hotels unlike here.

but yes, the wifi connections are awesomely fast, I managed to DL some good jap porn when visiting.

The towel is the most valuable piece of equipment a traveler can bring.
