Tomorrow, Broken Age Act 1 (from the crazy mind of one Tim Shaefer and Double Fine, makers of Psychonauts and Brütal Legend) will be released for backers after like waiting after numerous setback and date being pushed back. I like when dates are pushed back because I know there is more care to it (read BF4 ). This will be available on steam but the Act 1 you'll have to get it from Humble (way better since it gives you a DRM free one if you are into that sort of thing) And if you already backed it, there's a e-mail that explains this.

Today launch trailer for Act 1 which is Vella story and Shay Story.

Oh yeah. Act 2 will get released later in the year. I like episodic releases. Keep you suspenseful.

Updating to add. Added to the OP the released trailer.

Pre-order available on Steam for if you are not a backer with release date of Jan 31st. If you are a backer you have received a Humble Bundle link to get your key for the whole thing (Act 1 now and Act 2 when it's released free). It's 10% off until release.

Finished it. Beautiful animation, wonderful art, excellent writing (though I don't expect anything less of a Double Fine game), and really great story that by the end had my jaw dropped just how things came together. This game was so immersive that I didn't leave my chair for 4 hours and just got lost in it. I am happy for the returned of puzzles that are mindrackingly hard like they use to be in old style games (also no walkthrough nor guide out there so this was really fun to solve for). That was just Act 1. I am super psyched for Act 2.

        Couple of screenies.
