    well, it just seems like the current chat colors are way too desaturated and they all look the same except for pink/purple which seems to stand out the most

    They are. Chat colors still aren't the priority right now though. They'll get some TLC perhaps after the overhaul cleanup / fixes are done, or once Kyle rolls out his new version.
