Honestly being a brony.. and looking into the Air Force Reserves possibly (cause they are the only ones that say they might be able to help me out), I could not care less. Whoop dee doo, the DoD supports it? So what? That doesn't mean shit. It comes down to the individuals. Don't say that the military is above breaking their own rules and regulations cause they are fuck heads, cause they are not. I have seen it first hand, so this? Useless.

Edit: Calmed down. This doesn't do anything to change people's perspectives on those that like the show, it just opens them up to be treated as Gays and shit.

Though @Benvolio Thank you for posting this, although I do think it is utter shit in a basket in the end, it is nice to see something I suppose... nice find

Never understood bronies. Why does it have to be treated as if it is on the level of gay pride? It's just a show...

Because fools like to group people. I like a show that is bright and was originally meant for young girls between the ages of 4-12. Thus I am gay.

As for understanding bronies... sometimes I have a hard time as well...

Maybe it's because you display how much you like the show by putting it in your steam name ([PONY]) and sporting avatars of it... You're just setting yourself up to be grouped.

And that honestly goes for everyone that does those things.

Whelp if fools are stupid enough to do it based off of a name and picture versus the way I act, I can't stop them, merely call them stupid shits.

        Facta non Verba yes?

What's that matter? I have a Xenomorph avatar and a Xenomorph signature. Even my Facebook has it, as well as a Xenomorph backdrop image. I fucking LOVE Xenomorphs. Yet, no one makes fun of me. :'C WHY'S THAT ASSHOLE!? WHY'S THAT!?

        Nobody loves me. :'<

One can't be even ironic about MLP without getting a mouthful of scorn. I've never seen so much discrimination against a show and its fanbase, especially considering that it promotes kindness and creativity. I know this issue has to do with gender fixations, but really if society (which says it supports individuality, freedom, etc.) cannot get past that and discourages deviation from it (even outright attacking it), then we've got some serious and deeper problems here as a whole.

I know it's easy to group people, but very often it's too binary to fairly evaluate. In reality, people fit in along a spectrum of interest for a given topic, which doesn't necessarily correlate with how much they display their interest for said topic. However, many times these variables are inappropriately tied together to simplify the process (or in other words "group" them) so people can more quickly approve, dismiss, or disapprove a subject. Like Jon said, this also has little bearing on the actions and behaviors of the person in question. This why I find grouping and other comments unjustified since they operate on an inaccurate basis.

Dude it doesn't matter to anyone whether you like it or not. You can have your peace, it's perfectly fine. But it gets ridiculous when people wear shirts that has Rainbow Dash on them. I watch spongebob and I am well past the normal age of watching it. I don't really boast about it because it's just a show.
It really has nothing to do on the person watching it. The only reason people trash them is because they turn the show into a culture, a fad, or a way of life which is weird albeit sad. I can promise you nobody will make fun of a brony if he just watches the show and doesn't turn it into everything surrounding him. The false perception most people have is that if you do that then you are embarrassed about watching the show. If you truly were embarrassed you wouldn't watch it. I can promise you everyone watches something that is not in the target range of age. They don't boast about it because there is nothing to boast about, it's just a show. If this offends anybody, sorry but that's just my two cents on the whole thing.

Maybe if you told someone you want to fuck them they'll show some respect.

Sounds like Star Trek or Star Wars. :giggle:

I think that applies to anything ever. That whole rule 24 and making sexual shit about it. That's fucked up, and I agree. I think the butt hurt is coming from the hate towards the group, from people who don't actually know what they are talking about. People are easily influenced by others. If you are to be told something you have never heard of by someone of importance or respect in your eyes, you wont argue them. Especially if you seek no further information into the topic at hand. Then, you have someone who will hate something, without reason or question.

The porn will be found anywhere. Pony is targeted simply because it has a large presence, and I don't think a single person on the internet hasn't heard of it now. Makes it an easy target, and why not? People need something to hate. That will never change.

Well, in a sense. These are two completely different time periods. The whole sci-fi thing turned cool when people made action/horror movies out of it and grossed millions. MLP, however grossed only a tiny portion because the intended fan base (and even the not intended fan base) is miniscule compared to it.

How much MLP has grossed (when it comes to monetary values) cannot be compared to Star Wars or Star Trek, but must instead be compared to others in it's market, I.E. Transformers, Barbie, Adventure Time... other cartoons, not feature length films. but this is just in terms of moneys.
