Seeing as the other thread was locked, and it's was pretty offtopic anyway, thought i'd explain here. Remember and learn people!

English Currency is called GBP (Great British Pound) or Pound sterling, the English colloquialism for this is "quid".

The American equivalent of this would be you calling the USD (United States Dollar) "bucks".

The decimal currency is called pence, also called "pennys" or simply "p"

    Pounds come in notes (£50, £20, £10, £5) and coins (£2, £1)

    Pence come in coins (50p, 20p, 10p, 5p, 2p, 1p)

There are 100 pennys to every 1 pound.

    SIMPLEZ!
