Is there a way to make the chat, mic indicators, net_graph, and kills show up on my middle monitor? I don't like having to move my head to see chat and whos talking.

I know it isn't much help, but to keep your hopes up, I've seen multi-monitor setups where the person modded games to have most stats/info on the middle screen (MMO's/FPS's/Racing/etc). I wouldn't doubt there to be a mod already out there for CS:S on this, or a command itself. It shouldn't be impossible to work out.

Well I would remove the file from your UI directory then.

fuck with the x/y positions in the res file.

The X/Y coordinates are not defaults... you have to change them and figure out which one fits perfect on your resolution. It'll take quite a bit of time to figure out. Although I figured the center of your screen should be 0,0.

That code looks incomplete unless css knows what "..." means

well this is a basechat.res inside Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\gesource\resource\ui, but i have no idea if it will work. If anything you could just reference it with the one NE posted so you can get the remaining names of the ones that cut off with ...
          Code:
          "Resource/UI/BaseChat.res"
          {
          "HudChat"

The file either works or doesn't do anything as is. I modified the X-coord thinking its based on pixels (its not) and added 1920 to each x- value. It put the grey chat box in the middle of my right screen with no visible chat in it. :dazed:

Also, I had to add the UI directory to my resource folder... Have they phased out this sort of thing? Or is it just for those who modify stuff?

EDIT: Aaaaaand now its spaced out all goofy like after removing the file.

          net_graphpos 2

That'll make the netgraph move to center, manipulate the # for different locations.

I'll take a look at more commands later tonight after a put my rig back up.

Edit: I've got a good lead on the chatbox issue, will deal with it tonight.

Sorry Seeker, but isn't it very horrible to play CSS when it's stretched like that? I couldn't play it if it's ike that on the screenshot for even a minute

It's expanded over 3 screens, it gives your a large peripheral vision advantage.

Your primary focus will be on the center of the screen, the FOV is larger. It gives a much better gaming experience, try it for yourself

well shit. guess you could just try searching google for '5760x1080(or whatever you res is) HudLayout.res' and perhaps someone made one already for it that'll work. Or contact this guy http://www.wsgf.org/users/delphium and tell him his shit is broken. Should probably do the latter anyway. Who knows he might fix it real quick.
