Football Season

Ok so since my teams own all other teams I just thought I'd start a football thread.
and I mean real football, you know with Offense Lines, Linebackers, Quarterbacks, Tight Ends

You can start a "Soccer" thread somewhere else if thats what your into

Anyways, anyone have any picks this year? Any fantasy league players?

I gotta go with the colts, we and I mean we in the they sense, finally got the championship last year, 5 new starters, some holes to fill but still a good chance at a repeat, at least division title.

Also I LOVE college football, I still am trying to get someone to go with me so I can get season tickets to the beavs, my wife is not a fan of football. Anyway, I have to say some of you might be SEC fans and no disrespect, I think the SEC conference is tough but I think PAC-10 teams have as hard a schedule. My beavs (my in the alumni sense) will hopefully go 10-2 but probably go 9-3 @USC, @CAL, and @Oregon are all going to be tough to win, and Arizona is no pushover. ASU is going to be good in a few years with Erikson. We also start the season with Utah, which I believe we will win. Of course this is all with a new QB but Canfield had some experience and I think he will learn quickly, also our O-line is one of the best out there with Perry and Schuening, 15 returning starters, and an awesome and underrated Bernard in the backfield.

Anyway lets talk football, this board needs some man infusion, and yes I mean that in a bad way...

    Man.... Infusion....?

Penis songs.... Man Infusions.... Snakes is there something you need to be telling your wife???

Anywho.... England is pretty shit when it comes to football.... Or "Footie" as the yobs call it.

Brethren Note: For those of you who do not know.... A yob is an annoying bastard that takes great delight in doing stupid things.... I.E starting pointless fights with his posse of other annoying twats or spray painting a penis on a wall and then painting the word "lol fag" next to it. That my friends is a yob. (God knows if you have those over there.... You have my sympathy if you do....)

Anywho.... I support Manchester United myself.... When I say support.... I mean.... Feign interest in when people talk about football.... I hate the sport to be perfectly honest. Yaay let's go sit in a stadium for two hours watching a bunch of people kick a ball about and then get paid way more than I make in year for one fucking game.

    WHEW. Calm....

Cute flirting aside, you two are a couple of yobs.

You practically cupped each balls already.

    Go Niners.

great job you used it in a sentence,

also one of my good friends IRL is a big niners fan, tough few years you've had recently.

Smith had a better year last year, hes got an arm, just not the most accurate. ANd you've got more depth this year, don't know if you'll make 8-8 though.
  8. Jul 4, 2007
Hahaha!!! I don't even know who the niners are!!!!! And i'll have you know I am not a yob....

We may have just lost our starting quaterback, but you gotta be a loyal fan. So I'm still going with the Kansas City, Chiefs!

I am a life-long Blue Bomber supporter. I think they will take the east this year, and give them 3:1 odds on taking down the Grey Cup. As long as they totally dismantle the Alouettes, I will be happy: Anthony Cavillo should just retire!

I should add that Kevin Glenn has a sick pass completion percentage most games, and it's nice to see him have an O line that actually acts like a *wall* and not like the *sieve* that it has been in the past few years. I certainly like seeing them dish out the sacks more often than they take them.

I don't really follow NFL football, and I follow college football even less. I'm a CFL/NHL guy...

...oh yeah, and I'm a huge UFC fan too. Is anyone else going to watch the St. Pierre/Koscheck fight this weekend? As a loyal Canuck, I am cheering for St.-Pierre, but I like Koscheck's chances too, and expect this fight to be an impressive brawl. After UFC 74 wraps up, I 'm going to have the gang over for some poker (where I will relieve them of a couple big bills  ). If we don't get a good turn out, we can always hit the local casino to take down the weekend drunks (it's easier than taking candy from a baby).

It should be a great weekend...
