Well it's that time again folks the new season is coming up fast with the first race in Australia on March 15-17. With the new season coming to an open also means Spring testing and also teams unveil their cars for the 2013 season along with the two drivers for each team. Teams are not allowed testing during the season they can only test during the Spring before the season officially starts. After that most of the R&D comes through the races and using new components to see what works and what doesn't. The cars for this year will still be using V8 engines that push close to 900 brake horsepower(BHP). The Kinetic Energy Recovery System(KERS) will still be used providing an extra 80BHP during each lap for 6.6 seconds of time that can be used all at once or in small bursts. The Drag Reduction System(DRS) will be returning this season as well with two changes. You can't have a double DRS system on the car and also you can only use the DRS during qualifying in the DRS zones this is a change from last year where you could use DRS anywhere on the track during qualifying.
