Figured I would throw up some holiday awesomeness since I haven't really seen anything posted in this. This is NOT CM based, and is their official one so I'm not sure why they built it as unofficial:

I was on 4.4 for a few days on my own build(CM) and Gummy rom. But since I have the USC model its not quite daily driver yet. I'm working on it but I love the changes so far.

Ahh I see. I'm loving it on this one and luckily haven't noticed a single thing wrong. I love all the design changes and it seems a lot more efficient and a lot faster.

I was running KTs sprint kernel. But it killed my battery. I may try again today. What all do you change?

I already posted in Kyle's blog my feelings towards 4.4+. This is my DD for the moment.

      GLORIOUS MASTER RACE.

I am loving Kitkat. Raw Virgin Android Experience is the best way to experience Android. Especially this new hardware. I also for some reason don't need root and updates are rolling out much more streamlined.

You're a disgrace to all modders. Please hand over your Android license and acquire your iOS one.

To be fair he has a N5. That's about pure android. I still think root is worth it.

I have the N7 2nd gen (2013) tablet but root is just so necessary. N5 is an amazing phone but pure android is not what I like. I like customizing every nook and cranny of my phone. It's just... something that defines me. Here are some screenshots of some of the visual changes I made to my phone. Not to mention all the hundreds of other build.prop tweaks, Xposed modules, a deodexed framework for modding, and zipaligning apps for incredible speed optimization, it is a modders heaven:

Gave up on Android modding and roms, gave up on the NDK because the whole community became so fragmented and simple Click-2-Install [insert thing]. I miss the old G1 days of daisy chaining usb cables to your pc and sideloading really experimental and possibly bricking files. adb and command lines. Those were the times.

I'm happy now with Kitkat and what stock rom gives, there isn't a thing I need and modding UI is what made HTC Sense and Touch WizzyWizzyWQizzzy so horrendous at first.

We're still doing that, especially with the Ubuntu ROM that's being built at the moment. I don't want to mess with them since I don't have a JTAG/JIG in case I hard brick it. I could possibly code it with my arduino but eh... I don't want Ubuntu lol. And ADB has only grown but if you're happy with KK, then more power to you. I personally like to play around and push the limits until something breaks, in which case my nandroid backups come in handy ^.^. TW on the other hand has come leaps and bounds from when it started. I used to abhor it but the latest ones are very likable. To each his own. :soldier:

I have no idea how to theme or I would go stock rooted.

I've been having issues playing movies I bought on the Play store. They keep freezing after playing for 9 seconds everytime. I have tried every rom and kernel under the sun that is compatible with my phone and can't figure it out. I can watch them on my computers browser, on my TV through Rokus Youtube channel, but not through the movies app on my phone. Any idea what it could be? I even tried blocking the apps permissions so it can't detect root but to no avail. Ugh ideas?

I had a similar problem like this. My SD card was working fine with my S3 but when I upgraded to S4, I had problems watching the videos that I recorded & broken pics etc etc. So the thing is, there might be a corrupted file in your gallery or location where you store all your movies. Backup all your files, clear that section and try again. And also have you tried using 3rd party video player ?
