Getting env_global to appear in Source SDK (CS:S)

    I'm currently making a ZE map in Source SDK, and i'm having trouble getting the env_global entity to appear.

    I've been looking everywhere and I just can't find out how to do it.

    I tried contacting the guy on this tutorial about it, but no response yet.

    It seems like it would be extremely difficult to make a decent ZE map without getting env_global to work, so i'm hoping to contact a ZE mapper about it if possible. It's pretty frustrating.

    You need a custom .fgd file which you can download here: http://www.gamebanana.com/css/tools/1966
    add it by tools --> options --> game data files (add)
    Restart hammer --> follow your dreams!

    Beware though, you'll miss some original things, but you can always delete it to get back the normal hammer state if anything messes up.

    What is so difficult without having env_global avalible? Saving stage/difficulty states?
    You can easily achieve that with a func_brush, a func_physbox and some triggers in case you weren't aware of that.

    You are a lifesaver. Thanks a billion, this was frustrating me to no end.

    I'll look into the func_brush as well.

    I didn't add that .fgd, but I did add this code to my cstrike.fgd using notepad
    that was suggested to me on the steam forums.
