Who do I give it away to?
Did you make ZE maps? If yes, reply in this thread if you want this account with the games.

    Why I give it away?
I mostly only played CS:S ZE. But I can't stand the HEgrenade ringing anymore. I'm an old gamer.

"If I didn't make ZE maps can I be in"?
Yes, either by being recommended by someone who made ZE maps, or you contributed largely by making other stuff for CSS.

Why do you prio ZE map makers?
In recent years CS:S ZE is all I played (besides WoW). I want to give something back.

Give me your account, I'll keep it for you untill you want it back. I've done it for @meeko before

      Also,
You can replace the sound file associated with the hegrenade....

I nominate @Luffy to get it. He's put TONS of work into not only this community but CS:S in general, and his work is always psychedelic and Ermah toast awesome.

I think what 128 suggested makes the most sense. Never know if you'll want it back. If I were given an account like that, that's probably what I'd do.

I don't want the account back ever. It's not a hasty decision, it is final.

It's not the explosion sounds, but the ringing -- the aftermath from the explosion.

Sure just link me something, from gamebanana or wherever it is uploaded.

I would think there would be away around that problem but I could be wrong. My offer stands if you change your mind but best of luck with whatever your decision is

I actually wanna try out some of those games (Wolfenstein, BL & Bioshock Inf.)
I understand your generosity, but why would you wanna give away a steam account that you spent quite alot of money on?

I'm in the process of making a ze map, but haven't put much time into it lately :frown: there are lots of ZE mappers though, maybe one of them would want it.

I know you in this ZE community. Infact I rank you high up there. I'll give this thread a couple of more days.

Trond's account has been secretly flagged by the NSA for child porn, hacking, and steam cheating. The quicker he gives it away, the quicker he cleans his hands.

I'd nominate @Tony the Tiger!! :D . He's been putting in a lot of time and trying really hard to make his ZE map. I'm sure this will give him a lot of motivation.

This. You can reduce the volume of the hegrenade sound or replace it with a completely silent sound file. Plenty of people on the forums would be happy to both provide you with an altered sound file and help you through the process of replacing it. Unless there are other reasons for quitting, this is no reason to give away a steam account. @Trond

Call me ignorant if you want, but completely giving away an account with its games that you have collected over the years just because you can't stand an explosion sound in a fps/shooter game sounds like a plan that a fat Swiss cow drunk in 1894 Chardonnay on a chemotherapy would make

All I can say is that I don't thing that's a good idea whatsoever, but ultimately your choice (This would be my feeling about such a decision). I own most of the games, and if I need some, I'll just buy them myself.

If I was to give it to someone, it would be either of the 6 following: @Luffaren @enviolinador @Hannibal (the one of all the LOTR not sure if it's this hannibal in fact) @thegregster101 @Kaemon or @Kim @Päss

                    Good luck with the giveaway!

                      1 ) Go to your CS:S folder locate "cstrike_pak_dir.vpk"
                      2 ) Download gcfscape
                      3 ) Open " cstrike_pak_dir.vpk" in gcfscape.
                      4) Go to Root > Scripts > game_sound_weapons.txt

                      		"wave"	"weapons/debris2.wav"
                      	}
                      }
And let me know if you ever find a way to save the changes.

Editing your VPK file is the only way to kill that pitch sound. I tried to save this many times, didn't work. If you ever find a way to save it, this is what you have to do.

FYI, your vpk file size is 650kb compressed, it becomes 1.47Gb uncompressed.

I have tried with the game_sound_weapons.txt file turning everything off. I haven't tried setting pitch to normal I think. Unless someone can tell me it's working I won't bother.

Years ago I would play the games a lot, but as I'm getting older I don't even finish most of the games.

When you say ringing, is it like a weird, high pitched digitized sound that happens after the grenade sound? I had a bug where the p90 would make a weird noise after firing every time, it was obnoxious. I fixed it by deleting the p90 sound then verifying CS:S files through Steam to have it re-download the stock p90 sound.
