Google has Apple licking their feet. If this lives up to what it's being hyped as, it'll be bigger than the release of the Ipod.

Yes everyone knew that the Chromebook wasn't going to be able to compete with the Macbooks, they are constantly testing the waters. Also they are not devolving massive amount of ressources to it just partnering up with manufacturers to streamline the process. Also it's still early to compare against something that's been on the market for years.

And you be surprised how having more billions in cash can save your company when in downfail.

I thought the Chromebook was just some $300 internet porn laptop.

I didn't know they had a MacBook replica.

I'm pretty sure they'll have different styles/colors though. Besides, what do you think people thought when they saw the first in-head ear-phones?

It came out like a few days ago. In fact I don't think you can order it yet.

I'm not knocking them i think they don't look half bad which shows how much of a nerd i am but you have to admit they will stand out a bit.

Oh, of course, but they're going become the norm so fast it'll make your head spin. Trends and fads start literally overnight, so I doubt this will have trouble becoming the "next big thing to get."

The only people who got them so far are developers who Google licensed to in order to drive and see how what crazy things can be added. If you want one as a consumer, you can sign up for their creative thing which Google will pick a certain number of people to play with it, drive its popularity, and I guess be creative with it but I think you have to be in public eye so expect a lot of youtube vlog to review it in masses...also you must pay them 1,500 $ for it of they choose you.
