My client has crashed multiple times when the fire particles are stacked on each other. I thought at first that this was a local problem but I have heard others on server complaining about the same thing. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Can you get some crash information? (dumps, memory addresses, etc? Usually can be found in event viewer)

Looks to be related to multicore rendering, which VALVe recently confirmed as unstable. Try disabling it with mat_queue_mode -2.

Any chance at a core dump (or mdmp) or any useful information?
