I'm expecting a good amount of cash soon, and I been wanting to build myself a gaming rig for a long time (roughly since 2008). So I'm now looking into parts and pieces I'm going to need in order to fulfill my wishes for a gaming rig. But since the fact that the PC is forever changing rapidly, what parts would you recommend that can run most games fairly well and still be able to play some of the more recent games?

But no, what kind of budget are you looking at? Are you wanting to run things like OMGROFLCOPTER high, or like just strong enough?

If anyone goes for any sound card, it should be hands down the Asus Xonar DG or DGX, unless you just have buttloads of money to spend and wanna buy the best and most expensive sound card just because you can. For the price of that card, it sounds freaking amazing. Definitely beats my Creative XtremeGamer (they didn't have the Xonar when i got it, and it was more expensive than the Xonar!)

Yup Asus really took over shit from Creative. I remember my good ol' Audigy 2. That thing was a beast.

Sorry for not getting back here sooner, I would say about $800.00 to $1,200.00, I can squeeze over the limit no problem.
