Not sure if this is the right section, but here it goes

I was trying to find ways to improve my fps in CS:S
and stumble upon a guide in another forum instructing the use of command lines in Set Launch Options and include a .cfg full of commands that I don't even know about

I tried it and it works, the fps goes up to 50-90 from mere 20-30 but there are issues with models and textures as they are full of those purple and black boxes (idk what they're called)
zombies' models are unaffected mostly but CTs, Ts, weapon's models and some props are now purple and black.

the command lines are as follows:
-refresh 60 -dxlevel 60 -nocrashdialog -dev

and here's the list of commands in the cfg and I need help finding the source of the problem
    cl_cmdbackup 2
    cl_cmdrate 45

Well for one thing I see your dxlevel is set way too low, the lowest it can be since the update I think is 80. Here is the ultimate guide I've found for improving your fps http://www.gamebanana.com/css/tuts/7467. I don't know but personally I use Kaizens config which is linked at the bottom.
