Hide and seek

    I used to play hide and seek in the old days in call of duty black ops multiplayer and this idea came to me last month to make a server for hide and seak which is an awesome game:
    Here are the game steps of the game:
    Step 1: counter terrorists will be objects and search for a place in the map to hide while they are invisible and they only get a knife which is also invisible and they get parented to an object and find a hiding spot.
    Step 2: Terrorists spawn somewhere in a box or anywhere else not on the map and teleport after 30 seconds or more to the map, this way it will give some time for the hiders to find a spot and camp.
    Step 3:After terrorists spawn, they go look for the counter terrorists that are objects and kill them. It will be hard for the ct's to get a kill because they only got a knife and the t's got guns.
    Step 4: If all ct's are seeked and die, t's win but if t's can't find the ct's after an amount of time like 5 minutes, then ct's win.
    Here are some videos of the past game that I used to play black ops that most of you guys know and I had good times. It is why I thought that plaguefest should have this and I will be the first one starting with a map try in 2 weeks after getting full replies and thoughts of what you guys would think (especially Brian). People will then start making a lot of kinds of maps that goes with it and other communities get jealous. If you guys do not like this, I will also make a first map try for the minigames.     See how seekers spawn blind and then go search for hiders that are completely invisible for the seekers and the funny thing on the second video where this D was on the truck and no one even realized. I hope you guys like it and sry if my grammar is bad. Thank you

        Ah damn, I would make a map for the minigames if you guys want to, I got all the ideas planed just like in these videos.

        Shame, I played this for css a while back and it was a lot of fun, although I can see how it wouldn't be the most popular server...

          it only works if the props change on like a weekly basis, otherwise people know what to look for

          Diffrent props for diffrent maps. :wink: If there is going to be diffrent maps :O

          even then, the problem still persists. You need to add in extra props that are dynamic / random in order to eliminate the chance of players memorizing map layouts and being able to win no matter what. Regardless we're not pursuing HnS at this time.

          What killed HnS was that TOO many people knew what was fake just because they knew a map so well. Had mappers done maps SPECIFICALLY for HnS, then it would have been something epic and fun. But even then, I'd give it less than a month, and people would be damn bored.

            Not if people keep making new maps and new things.I have a lot in my mind that I can do with hide and seek.

            I played hide and seek on iGZ for the longest on cs 1.6, at it was more of a bunnyhop server. Like you bhop to blocks and it takes you to higher parts of the map, people get frost nades, etc. It was really fun, but people that couldn't bhop could never really got anywhere, but they learned quick.

            I mean as you watch those videos in the first post, It does not require Bhop. You just have to be smart and find a good hiding spot and I will also clip the high spots. It won't cause probs as in the past and it will be different I think as the old hide and seek you guys had planed.I will anyways start with a map in 1 week and half because I cannot touch my pc this week because of my exams in school but I process you guys I will try my best anyways. Thank you for all your feedbacks. I will still wait for more replies from you guys.

            Just played some cs:s Hide & Seek, it's pretty fun ^ ^. I think this is a good idea, even if someone has already pulled up a thread on this, it should be added to MG server. :wink:

            HnS Mods are super fun, I used to do it before I played ZM/ZE

            I vote yes for CSS: HnS Mod :smile:

            If hide n seek isnt accepted for CS:S here, why not make a prop hunt server for TF2? Those servers are constantly full.

            Btw, I hink HnS would be pretty fun for CS:S.

            Lol server full of people, it can be, but when theirs not that many people it gets rather boring. I used to play it on cs1.6 they had maps made for hide and seek like TONS of hiding spots, not secrets but just dark spots, and you could run away too if caught and try to hide somewhere else.

            Map gets boring, then why not make a new map. As you guys play zm or ze, you guys never get bored because there are always new maps. it can go the same with hide and seek as more new maps come out and can get interesting more and more for my opinion.

            Played few times in CS1.6 i found it pretty boring maybe mg map with hns idea would be ok, but i found deathrun more interesting :razz:

            It's basically just like ZE but has more of a MG feeling to it ya kno?
