I initially had .dem files as one of those blank white papers like this. [IMG]

But I accidentally changed it to this. [IMG]

Need help reverting back because when I play the demo, it won't work and it'll crash. Anyone know?

Right click, open with, choose default program. Then select a new program to be the default to open .dem (and not 7zip)

I didn't test this because I didn't want any chance of messing up my demo files too, lol.

I opened up my demo files properties to see what is the default program it uses to open them up. It says "Windows Shell Common DLL". I Googled that, and saw that it is "C:\Windows\System32\shell32.dll".

So right click your demo file, and click properties.

Click change next to open with.

        Click browse.

Then go to C:\Windows\System32\. I could not see visually shell32.dll so type it in file name to find it. You should be able to hit open, OK, and Apply.

Hopefully that will fix it for you.

it really shouldn't matter since there isn't a standalone application that opens .dem file since you have to do go in a Source game to open it.
