may i get vac banned for using fraps to record gameplay?

basically i want to know if i could get vac banned for using "Fraps"( its a recording program) to record gameplay while playing css or cs:go? does anyone use it? i have been using it while playing lately and i Heard someone saying it was illegal but im not sure

You can use Fraps without worry, you will not be VAC banned.

Fraps is a totally legal and safe recording program to use. I think you should use Dxtory instead of Fraps, it's pretty expensive though.

You are not affecting the game itself so you can't be banned. It's like saying if taking a screenshot gets you banned.

Well you have two options.

1) Record a demo, then record the demo with fraps.

2) Record your game with fraps.


If you want to learn how to edit your demo (make it look like this) go here. If you don't, just record the game with fraps.

You don't get VAC bans unless you edit the main core files (.dll or .exe), if you don't mod these you should be good to go.
