Wow, I saw this yesterday and i was surprised how fast it was to make all these changes. This proves how bad microsoft cared about their money and not the people. They should of done that at E3 Press conference and not after finding out how much money and people they lost. I am not going to listen to microsoft fanboys and their opinions. I am going to stick with Ps4 since it's still cheaper, better graphics and speed and there is no shitty camera watching you. It took em about 2 weeks to fix all of those. I don't understand why they put them at the beginning and after finding out the money they lost, they made their changes.
Have you also heard Don Mattrick speech after the press conference and how stupid it was? Take a look.

How about you? Will you stay to Ps4 or go xbox one?

The changes were great, but I still wouldn't purchase a PS4. I still enjoy Microsoft and what they have to offer so I'm going to stick to an Xbox One if I ever get it.

With this privacy shit, everybody is acting like the world is out to get them and they need to hide. "Oh no! My Kinect is watching me!". Kind of like the recent NSA crap, it's not like the world is thumbing through your endless porn history on Redtube and you're going to be outed for it.

Also, woop de doo 3k posts yada yada whatever

Its not the fact that people really care about the privacy (although I'm sure some do). It's the fact that Microsoft had the gull to do this shit in the first place. It's the principle of the thing. They decided that they could do whatever the fuck they wanted and decided to run over the gamers. That is why people aren't wanting to go back. Microsoft thought they were infallible and got a rude awakening and cracked under the pressure.

You get more out of PS Plus (which won't be required for netflix etc.), Sony is more indy friendly, and by all accounts will have better exclusives. I could give a shit about all the gimmicky stuff that the Xbox One will come with. I don't need a social station that also counts as a set top box.

Well I could care less about the Kinect and the extra junk. Yea, it'd be better for it to be at least $50 cheaper with no Kinect but whatever. I'll wait for when all of this actually comes out to judge it anyways.

Even though I was never agaisnt their original decisions/policies, ill still get the Xbone, but ill wait a few years for its price to drop. 500 be too much.

Kinda surprised they did a full 180 and dropped drm/online required. Some people think it was a PR sceme, some say it was legit. One things is for sure, we brought a whole new definition to that "judging a book by its cover" saying, rather than waiting for the console to release to see what way wouldave been better

Epilouge? Everyone that acted against the Xbone, over-reacted imo. Tho MS couldave moderated the issues to tend both sides and made it a great console...
Still getting a Ps4 on launch as its more appealing to me in many ways, plus I look forward to using an highend SSD(vs a slow HDD) in it :3 Asuming it can take full advantage of the drive capabilities

Just for a bit of clarification. What do you see in heavy DRM restriction and removing the ability to sell/trade and loan multiple times that would be good?

I can tell you right now that the check in every 24 hour bullshit would directly impact my brother in law who is in the military. They move a lot and he is deployed to the middle east when he is deployed. Why should he be restricted from playing new games and having access to the new console? Thankfully this has been removed.

I've also heard that they are adding the amount of people that are allowed to watch a rented movie. If the kinect detects more than the, in this instance, 3 people watching a movie it will pop up a notification and charge you for the extra people (apparently people are waiting for more information on this).

How is it an overreaction when the issues they reacted to were changed? Doesn't that, you know, justify their reactions?

Sssshhh it's a Microsoft fanboy, don't try to reason. But yea Microsoft is back-peddling way tooooo late. They hurt their bottom line badly right now. They could drop the price but that also will hurt their bottom line as well since production costs for a Xbox One is around $350-$400.

Was that fanboy comment was aimed at me? Cause I'm the farthest thing from one, since im a neutralist. aside from being part of the pc-master race. And the production cost is probably higher than that(they usually sell consoles at a loss in the start), but I won't say I'm certain on that.

Tbh I'm glad they dropped the old system, now we talk all about games and specs rather than policies and system operations. And I look forward to these upcoming games :3

ok fanboy. Here's a good quote for you what you might think of the xbox at first but how it comes out to be.

The horrible thing about PC is late release dates for video games like GTA V that will be released half a year after consoles. I also can't afford spending 1000+ dollars for a hardass PC that will run PS4 games in the future.

i will go PS4. I dont really have a preference one over the other, but with all their fuck-ups they've been doing to the next gen xbox, it'd be safer to go with PS4.

Also, that "charge you for amount of ppl watching a rented movie" has to be bullshit.

In the future... I agree that for PS exclusifs or PS games that usually get released at first on the console it may be a problem for many people, but if you can't spend too much money, then you often have people happily waiting for games to steadily drop in price, by which they also have to wait a considerable time, and yes, for some games this might also be half a year. Thinking of it, except for all of the Half-Life series and Metro: Last Light I never ever purchased a game at full price.

This cannot be said for the PS4 where it stays ridicilously long at high prices, so yea I am willing to wait for every game that comes, as long as it comes to the PC.
Only exceptions are PS4 exclusives. They are ridicilous, and have no meaning to me. Take 'The Last of Us' for example, the game may be so good, and I don't say I would not be able to recognize it's greatness, but as long as it won't release for PC, there is nothing I can acclaim the game for, and especially not believe or recognize the big pride being shouted about it.

(I really hope though it comes out one day on the PC, but if it doesn't, it's their problem, and I keep my money)

Not quite sure how it works there but even as soon as a week after a console game release you can head in to a GameStop and pick up a used copy for 10-15 bucks off, which changes steadily as the game gets older. There really is no downside to purchasing most games used, the discs are usually in pristine condition (I make sure to check first). The only case where I don't know that this would work is the DRM built in with logging in/registering with companies like Ubisoft.
