I´m pretty sure everyone of you knows the problem, that just everybody screams into the mic when the map voting via 4 mins left or rtv pops up. We should just mute the whole server everytime a vote appeares.

I have to disagree with you on this one cousin.

If people aren't voicing their opinions over the mic, I think people will *always* spam vote 1.

I beg to disagree, but because our server's IQ is extremely low, we need atleast six micspammers to let us know to spam 1, Mako or Minas

It's been discussed in the past if it's OK for admins to use @mute @all during map votes. We decided that map votes are very short and all the talking over the ic is tolerable. If necessary, warn -> mute specific individuals that are causing the most problems over the mic (eg map votes happens, and all they do is scream "Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!" for several seconds over the mic when it happens, <joke>or mute them if they tell people to vote for Mako</joke>).

But...but...I need to let people know through loud screaming otherwise they'll never know! Besides, most of the ZE playerbase is illiterate.

^ that is what the chat will look like if we mute everyone during a vote.

It's best we just keep mics active when map votes to prevent chat spam/flooding.

And the volume of people actually using their mics during map votes at least for ZM isn't all too high and its more often than not admins trying to prevent some maps that people often leave because they don't like the map

I don't really agree with this. It wouldn't really benefit in anyway and cause more chat spam, and if a bad map is on number 1 it's good to hear the regular players opinions on what map to vote on that may be more fun to prevent the server from dying. Yeah it can get annoying, but it doesn't hurt anyone just for that brief few seconds of people arguing on what map should be picked.

I played ZE for the first time the other night. I knew this within 10 minutes of being on the server. Note to self, never suggest an rtv on ZE or feel the wrath of Mako.

This is more of a admin common sense instead of a wide adopted notion. I don't see a issue (or why aren't people not doing this) with the way we always done. Mute the one that are spamming and Gag the heathen spamming the chat. Mic spam and Chat spam during nomination are and should be considered as Spam and a offence.

Also never mute/gag @all and unmute/ungag @all....there are threads in Admin only addressing this.

hehehehe, I'm giggling at the thought of the first admin abuse report against this plugin if it's implemented just like that AFK Man admin abuse report.

We shouldn't need one. The system werks and people need to be informed that spam is spam regardless of the circumstances.

it wouldn't be an issue if we have admins on throughout the day and ENFORCING people not to spam during the vote, but of course some admins don't do shit and let it happen
