Slow Map Downloads

Lately my map downloads seem to be really slow.

I'm not sure if it's just PF or something with CS:S but I know it's not on my end unless theres a rogue program limiting CS:S for some reason.

I have a 6MB/s connection and have allowed CS:S through my firewall. It never use to be this slow but it is now.

    Anyone else having this issue?

It is usually pretty fast for me though. I don't download stuff when I'm gaming. Maybe your browser is using up a lot of internet speed if you are streaming and gaming at the same time..

A, well for one I have never had problems on that. Though I prefer downloading throught gamebanana. A good idea for the future might be using the Steam workshop if it ever comes out for CS:S, though many, and many maps would never be allowed because on Steam they are very severe on copyright infrigment. I think even one model (if discovered ofc) would dissallow the map from being upped.

But to come to the point, that would allow auto-update whenever a new map comes out, and it would leave PF with very less downloads on client ends. If it would ever come out for CS:S, I could never tell for sure.

Just download from gamebanana and then put it into the maps folder, it's sooooo much easier

I've never had a problem with download speeds on maps. They've always downloaded fairly quickly for me. I mean, you're not going to max out your download speed or anything, but if there is a new map and everybody has to download it, i wouldn't expect it to be a very quick download.

Seems pretty expensive to me (And that's just for US Traffic. Sydney is horribly expensive).
