Suggestion: Zombie grenades

    After three or four kills as a zombie in a round, the zombie gains a grenade. This allows three things:

    1. It gives zombies an incentive to play harder. It will make zombies more aggressive instead of zombies just standing around because they lost hope.

    2. It gives zombies a chance to knock down cades that are practically impossible to move at times.

    3. Brings challenge to humans and human dominated maps

    Is this possible?

      I like the idea of rewarding killing and receiving a form of ranged damage, I think grenades might be too harmful to cades though. Certainly there are some cades that can take a grenade or two, but I think the majority tend to fall to pieces with a properly placed grenade.

        If you were online during the zme testing, you could see that headcrab had this ability already there.

        I was. I liked it, but it's limited to the headcrab. If all zombies had a perk, it would allow all zombies to try harder.

        Maybe allow zombies to pick up dropped grenades?

          Agree for the most part -- it could maybe work if there was a max nade limit for the whole zombie team, like 2-4 per round.

          Cool idea, I bet it would make for a really interesting game mechanic and definitely would favor zombies in those "impossible" scenarios.

            I actually think that would be a good idea. Maybe make so the nades don't actually kill humans, but more for breaking cades that are impossible to get down. It'll force humans to build better cades and def would give zombies an incentive to try harder, instead of just standing around. I like the idea of getting 2-3 kills for a zombie and then being rewarded with a nade.

            I agree that it is just too OP because one grenade is all it takes to break almost any barricade.

            An interesting idea I had though was to make it a zombie class instead for balancing purposes. Maybe even limit how many players can play the class or give it to certain mother zombies, or something of the sort so that if there is one spot on a map that is human sided, the % of zombies on that map that get a grenade. That or something else to help with balancing human sided maps.

            Not if the damage inflicted by the nade is cut down to say half. Just enough to get the cade moving and give the zombies a little more of a chance, especially with the OP cades
