Now that The Interview has been released on Google Play and Youtube effectively cutting out the middle man (the theater) lets talk about it. Do you think this was a huge publicity stunt, or is Sony just making the best out of a bad situation? Sony stands to make a lot more money off of this movie now. Think about how many people would have gone to a theater to see this movie vs how many are going to download it. The profit margin is enormous. No one wants to go to a packed movie theater on Christmas day. Anyone in their right mind would stay at home and watch it with their family. Is this the future of film? Are we finally getting a taste of what it's like to not spend 20$ on some popcorn and a coke with 5 dollar refills?
