I have yet to see a successful run at Convoy. I think it is one hell of a map, props to SubDelt@ for making it. But is it too hard? Well I figured I would start a thread with screenshot fails just for our new map addition. Please add your best score fails and lets see what is the worse  convoyfail

Few days ago we were like 20 seconds away from beating EXPERIENCED. I think we can make it.
About hardness. I've decided next: if pF doesn't beat Convoy's EXPERIENCED difficulty in 2-3 weeks, I'll make an easier version. If pF does, everything stays like it is for another 2-3 weeks and so on.

The only problem is that too many and the same people are dying to the same obstacle over and over again. There are almost always over 3 players just dying to the boarding platform when it moves, thus causing more zombies.
Then the spawn, on a full server about 5 players are bound to die because they just feel like going Duke Nukem mode and just go to the middle. So add some more zombies to that. Then someone dies by standing too close to the platform when zombies tp, and starts a zombie train. Round ends...not to mention 6 doorhuggers.

It is hard but its a learning proccess. We have been getting past lvl1 alot lately and have been doing it sooner into the map. I think 1-3 or 1-4 was our best. One thing it does need is more ammo for the guns, or more Beserker uses. Don't really want the map to get easier, but level godlike.......LOL GG PF
If people listened to my holding strategy, rather than falling back at an area, we would be capable of passing Lvl2 and possibly 3

Yeah i totally agree with redmoon. We could have maybe one more berserk use, because we really need ammo. I do feel it would be a shame to make the easier I really wanna beat it like it is right now.

And most deaths are all like Kloud said some hero players, people not listening and wondering why they always die on the same spot like platforms or when the door blows.

I think the main reason why we keep failing is because the map is too small. Maybe it's just time but I don't think UT was designed for 64 players. I noticed that when we have smaller players late at night. We have a better chance winning in maps like Skyrim and Mako.

It's not hard and people need to stop asking for mappers to dumb down the maps. I'm sorry if this seem harsh to you but the map already got nerfed so much. I had this same argument before Skyrim was nerfed.

It's a learning process, you will lose, again and again and again and again and again. Once you've understand the map you will get it. People have been complaining from the first day when their precious stats was on the line because they were losing. Here are some nice points to follow (for any map really).

1- STOP HUGGING THE DAMN RAMP, IT DOESN'T HAVE RAPE HOLE, SO STOP IT. It will actually rape you and kill you when it notices you trying to rape it.
2 - You played "The Floor is lava" when you were a kid, imagine that, but the floor is a road, and you're on a moving vehicle, so don't fall.
3- If more than 10% of people door hug, you will fail, work as a team.
4- The more harder the level gets, the less obstacle you have protecting you against zombies. Which makes super duper quadruple sense, so spam your weapons.
5 - Don't run like a maniac, this isn't super bhop rape face. You aren't doing yourself and others anything.
6- No matter what you think, your e-peenis is so tiny compared to Terry Crews, so stop being all master race in ZE.

Yeah gotta agree with bender, it is not a hard map. What makes it hard is that it requires teamwork and communication which seems to be a bit for a foreign word at times.
            Some helpful tips.
            1. Hold that first jump, till ramps are actually down, through a nade when its 5 seconds left
            2. Stay out of the middle of that bridge, people up top and ass end of the bridge
            3. Hold the last set of boxes and few people watching the tire fenders
            4. if at all possible hold the right and left sides of the tankers before shooting it, more time before its shot, the better you do
            5. only takes a few people up top of the crouch boxes and fence area
            6. defend the jump, one person watching that green car
            7. either one person gets down to push button for the missiles, and you hold left and right sides above (they spawn on the rear of the last car) or semi circle the bottom, hold till 10 seconds, and back peddle
and pls none of this I'll use combo when we LOSE the boxes

biggest thing of all is learning to work together, and trusting the person to the left and to your right. And as I always remind people, if your holding and you fall back let us know

I don't want a dumb down map, if I did then I would play Call of Duty Black ops 2.

It doesn't matter what you are hugging the ramp or jumping on top of the boxes. You would get turn into a Zombie no matter what happens. Hell I done more than my fair share of defending and sacrifice I still get turn into a Zombie. Even working together as a team we still end up losing the round. For me I don't care whether I win or lose all I care about is having fun in a video game. That what counts the most in a video game.

I mean, why would you ever want to be challenged? Easy games are soooo much more fun. /sarcasm

                  Dude, it's not really that.
The only actual issue apart from players sucking is the ending.
On Novice, its actually defendable, because theres a crouch spot, but on experienced and beyond, there's just a few mere boxes.

Just change the last part to actually have a "climbing" difficulty, because right now, id rank the ending; (with a scale of 1 to 10)
                  Novice Difficulty - 3
                  Experienced - 8

And if you remove those boxes, its a solid 10 out of 10.
This difficultty curve is WAY too steep.

Also that weird doorway that has to be defended, without any boxes, or a crouch spot for like 45(?) seconds inside the resource thing whatever, is overkill as fuck.

It is a hard map for now until PF learns it, its a god map and nothing negative was intended by the creation on this thread. Almost every person in here know how to make maps and respects the mapper's decisions when choosing their design.

                  This.

I mean, look at Predator. It took PF a long time to beat that map too.

Why make a map so easy you can just play without even playing just sit there and eat food at the desk while watching yourself do nothing and win when it can be a challenge and learn from it...To be honest in the end getting a win/ beating the map is much much more satisfying than just having it given to you..That 0-27 is a benchmark on how awesome we are at challenging maps (the challenge being getting around all the nabs that herp and die xD). Like Redmoon said:
Getting 1 win in 4 rounds (1-3) compared to 0-27 is awesome, although 1-3 won't be the score everytime, we just need to keep trying. The other day when I was on we almost beat 'Experienced' so why make the map easier to play :s

No, I don't think so at all, it's just a matter of mere teamwork and covering you're teammates..Pretty much what most people have said already so not gonna repeat it all again lol
As well as myself I am usually in the back covering team mates and I die more often then I like to admit..But what frustrates me is when I'm in the back covering only for people to die from being derp in the front somewhere..Yes its not always about winning or losing but shit like that grinds my gears xD because I won't lie I like to play to win for the most part but when I lose it's not even a big deal just laugh about it and move on.
Also the reason why you find it a better chance to win at night with smaller teams is because smaller amount of zombies are picked giving you less ground to cover would be my guess.
