You spec it, I'll build it.

$1,500 to play with. I need to build a higher-end gaming computer. (NOT FOR ME)
Best looking quote will be built. Theoretically, let us say I don't have anything at all besides the OS. Mouse and Keyboard are not required but I'm not going to reject the idea.

Using http://www.tigerdirect.com as a source is a bonus as I have a discount there on shipping.

I'll post pictures of everything once we decide on a "best build"

@Josh is this solely for gaming or will there be audio/video work (Where hyperthreading will be necessary)?

Am I including an OS in the price too?

Gaming, and I can supply the OS.

Any ideas about the case? Or should I leave that to you? It's really about preference.

EDIT: Here's the build I put together on Newegg, I think Nvidia is doing the Assassin's Creed III/Borderlands 2 deal, so it may be available on Tiger Direct as well.

i5 3570k is an obvious choice, 1TB WD HDD for storage, a 240GB Corsair Force Series GS, arguably the best SSD on the market for the money, a GTX 680, or possibly a 7970 for $100 less, your basic RAM, add another quantity of those for 32GB of RAM, the Hyper 212 CPU cooler, 3k+ 5star reviews speaks for itself, and the AX850 80 Plus Gold PSU to last your computer's entire lifetime without so much as a hiccup.

Left space for the case, let me know if you'd like recommendations. (HAF X 942 for $180 or HAF 932 for $140 are good choices as full towers with great cooling)

Tried to rate optimistic but for some reason that's a neutral rating, and I don't think you deserve that =D

3970x and a motherboard that supports it. You're spent.
