ZE Suggestions

    I don't know if all of these suggestions are doable.

    Grenades

    Problems:
    - You sometimes spawn without being able to buy a one, saying you already did (I'm not talking about buying one, killing yourself then buying a new one. I've spawned many times without being able to buy one from the start).

    - Standing on grenades while already having one sometimes counts toward the 3 grenade limit you're allowed to have.

    - Throwing a grenade in a bunch of humans slows them down (due to the flames around the grenade) and laggs the server (depending on the amount of humans the grenade hits).

    Fix: Revert them to how they used to work (before the most recent server update), have it count how many grenades you have thrown rather than picked up and bought. Remove/nullify(?) the flames radius on a grenade while in air.

    'Overplayed' maps & nominations

    Problems:

    - Skyrim, Mako Reactor, Paranoid, Predator and the occasional Minas Tirith are maps that usually get extended to the fullest every time they're played. There's a lot of people out there that just wants to escape from zombies without all the extra items, modes etc. They aren't really ideal for people new to the mod, I think a bit more variaton on the server would be better in the long run.

    - The map nomination system have been complained about probably more than enough at this point. People with fast computers usually get the first spot which in most cases ends up being the next map (unless someone spams mic or chat to vote for x).

    Fix: Increase the recently played maps by 2-4 and randomize map vote list for everyone for a more accurate voting result.

    Stacking, button griefing & ignored bullets

    Problems:

    - As seen on Mako Reactor, it's possible to stay inside a zombie that isn't trying to infect you in order to not being able to get infected by other zombies as they stab the zombie inside the human rather than the human. 'Stacking' like this is mostly used to delay rounds.

    - When someone stands just infront of a button that needs to be pressed in order to progress, the game thinks you're pressing E on that player rather than the button, the player has to move.

    - Bullets get ignored when shooting through other people - as seen on Paper Escaper & Isla nublar where if a bunch of humans go through the vents and tries to shoot open the exit, it won't break.

    - (Minas Tirith only) Appreciated by many, Minas is a great map but comes with trolls that loves to use barricades in order to get as many people killed as possible.

    Fix: Completely ignore teamates when stabbing/shooting or pressing +use, this would solve all 3 issues. (Minas Tirith only) A plugin that allows admins to see when players presses buttons in chat (as seen on i3D and Sonakis ZE server).

    Visibility & bullet sounds

    Problems:

    - On maps with narrow paths and edges it can be hard to see the zombies/path due to the amount of humans blocking the sight (voodoo islands vents, going up/down the pipes on Mako for example).

    - The sound of 40+ guns fireing can get pretty loud, you can't really hear people on the mic unless you move out of the area with all guns.

    Fix: A plugin that lets you set transparency (50-100%?) on humans and lets you mute the sounds of guns fireing (as seen on Hellz ZE server).

    Perks for regulars?

    I'm not too sure about this one, but how about a cosmetic perk such as a skin for players with x amount of hours logged on the server? This would encourage new people to play more on the server.


    That's it for now. I also think @Kaemon rasies valid points in his buff zombies thread.

      Well also the plugin for spammers would be nice.

      With skyrim&random there are 2 more maps which get almost every time played if they are available, 2-4 more recently played maps sounds good. Even people with fast computer and makros for nominations are sometimes 2 slow to be 1st nomination, I would really appreciate randomized votinglist regardless when they nominated it.

      Idk if the stacking, vent teamfilter dmg/use/bullets would work but all the other things sounding doable.

      And dont forget to buff the zombies, mapmaker doing it already on new maps but on old maps its sometimes really ridiculous. It shouldnt be "zombie autosniper-hunting". maybe really only a little more knockback and like 1-3k more health, because its still pf what we are talking about

      Increase pump action damage. Knockback is good IMO. Makes you aim for the head.

        I would love to see some sort of info of who used a cade or use a important game item needed for the humans/zombies success. I'm not sure of the implementation of this would be possible but the more info there exist the better things can be enforce. Just last night there was a pitchfork mob on predator demanding blood ( I kid you not, they said this) for a spammer of the alien device.

        I loved the delay there was for the nomination since it would guarantee that those with SSD/fast connection won't be the only one to get first nomination on each map change. A map randomiser would be noice.

        When it comes to bullet sounds, I became fond of the voice_overdrive since now I don't need to increase the game audio to hear voices (voice_overdrive 10 is perfect). However it's a minor fix for sounds however I think it's client side audio that are being used. I remember someone posted a reduced audio volume for each guns that can be integrated into the client game.

        I like most of these ideas. They are all very well thought out. I think I have seen the random nomination idea before, why hasn't it been implemented yet :bugeyes: ?

        I agree with most of this but I think some things could possibly be changed in a different way (which is possibly easier to make aswell):

        Grenades: - I think the reason you can't buy a grenade after respawning is cause the loadout menu already bought it for you on the first spawn(?). So instead of fixing this you might also say ''Sure you can be on the front train in Mako (for example) but you will be giving your team a disadventage by trying to be first instead of being a teamplayer.''

        Overplayed maps: - You could create some sort of timer instead of making random nominations. Sure after 2-3 minutes the paranoid nominations will still be spammed but the ''unfairness'' between PC specs is gone.

        Besides that I personally don't have a problem with gun sounds and I do like the idea of a special skin, but after how many days should it unlock? 10? Plenty of players already unlocked that eventhough it's a lot, and I think everyone wants it to be ''special''.

        Well everything I didnt't say anything about I pretty much agree on. These are just little things which might in my opinion also be possible (better) solutions. (And yea Kaemons thread should be bumped already, been waiting since last august for that. :razz:)

          THIS. A fucking nightmare on ZM as well. But I agree with all your points on ZE as well, although the transparency could be map based instead of server based. Or it could be triggered by an sm command (i.e, !transparent) or something along those lines. Great ideas. :thumbsup:

          Well, 8 impacts, ~22DMG in chest = 176 | Head = ~120 = 960 Damage seems fine. Is it even possible to increase damage on guns?

          A headshot from a pump action does less damage than a headshot with a deagle. Makes no sense. And yes I do have ddisplay on.

          Unless each individual pellet in the shell does damage on its own and it shows the last one that hits as the damage.

          And you tell me I have no idea about guns? That damage that you get on the display is one pellet. The pump shotgun shoots 8, so muliply it

            I doubt that cause the thing satsuki said I have also heard in the past on other servers. I'm no in-game gun specialist or w/e, but I really don't think it's necessary for shotty's, knockback is fine indeed, zombies won't even come close, so why give it more damage too if you don't even need it? Especially when there's multiple shotty's you'll never get closer anyways, damage increase would only be frustrating towards zombies.
