zm_futurelab

    Alrighty folks, time for a new project, all from scratch!

    This zombie map will be all indoors, and will have 1 main floor, with a top room and a small basement. Will be sciency/lab-like.


    Here's a nice little layout. I want to have it done in 2 weeks, completely. If anyone has ideas or has some good knowledge on cool stuff I can do with this (secret areas, props, etc.) let me know!

    Lookin good! If you find a way to convert the file from zm_futurelab.ppr to zm_futurelab.bsp, and not use hammer at all, let me know! :razz:

      I would be all for a new program. Hammer is nice and all but it's kind of like the retard child of 3D modeling. As long as it doesn't take the route of 3DSMax.

      Progress: 40% Done.

      I have layed the map out and the rooms. I will be adding a few more rooms, and then the props/details/lighting.
      To me, the map looks a little bland. That's probably because the stray textures that haven't been looked at, or any stuff in it.

      What do you all think?

      Uhm... looks... plain, sorry but yea... uhm... I like the open spaces... but the colors and such, makes it look plain, unfinished... and yea... but it looks great for 40%!

        Thanks. Yes, I know it's plain. I didn't really focus on adding the right textures when laying everything out. As you can tell, some rooms have different textures than others. I just want to get a base started.


        I will be adding a few more rooms, hopefully it all comes out nice! And thanks for the feedback.

        it seems like the map is a little big/open. I darkened it so it doesn't look like that, but I still get that feeling. I don't know what else to add.
