I'd say that if you have to ask, you probably aren't eligible to wear it.

    Now Lazy........

Any PF member is allow'd to use the =PF= Tag but admins use the [PF] Tag due to the fact that players got confused who was an admin and who wasn't.

Hope that answers your question

Well it does explain in the server ads, so if you don't know - you obviously don't play enough - and therefore are not eligible to wear the tag.

But go on ahead, wear the tag and ruin my theory.

If anyone can have it, I think the =PF= tag should be for ppl who have at least registered here on the forums. It would generate more posts and give the tag some small amount of status, something more than just changing your name. Showing love for the server is cool but show some respect too. I still see a lot of =PF= players doing dumb shit in game that should not have to be explained over and over, especially camping cheap/illegal spots when there isn't an admin on. It's no guarantee but if forum involvement is required then maybe they'll actually read the rules and follow them.

It would be nice if I'm behind a cade with another =PF= member I won't have to worry quite as much about them doing something completely boneheaded like lobbing a nade and blowing it all to hell. Teamwork is a big part of making these maps fun and I'd like to think that someone wearing the server tag isn't just a random scrub. I don't think it should be strictly enforced, just mention it on the login ad.

The community tag should be worn once you hit the 'regular' mark. If you play on the server long enough where people recognize you then it should be deserved.

I agree with Thorazine on this one. I've seen far too many people who wear the =PF= tag disregard the rules. By having people register here on the forums before using it, then it will make them more a part of the community, since the tag was originally meant as a community icon. Also, I have to agree with Jess as well. Just playing a server one time shouldn't merit wearing the community tag. Becoming a well known and a respected member of said community should be what allows them to wear it.

    Just my 2 cents.

I'd be ok with that too, but how do you determine where the regular mark is? Maybe a rep or recommendation system? Dunno, it's kinda vague. The reason I think it shouldn't be enforced much is because admins have enough problems just dealing with adolescents instead of being able to enjoy playing the game. If it requires more than something voluntary like registration (which implies they actually read the rules) then clear lines have to be drawn and someone on staff/clan has to do approvals and smackdowns too. Don't get me wrong, maybe that's what's needed... but there will be a lot of bitching and moaning when someone has to be told they can't wear the tag unless they straighten up or earn it in some way.

    Brings back memories for me.

But remember when I did it the cool way and got the adoring fans to change their names to "I love Lazy" and "I love lazy MORE".

    I agree with above posts.

Speaking of rcon commands.. What happened to my rcon access? I tried to use it to test something last night, and I wasn't authorized.. I want my rcon!

What I meant was with the regular mark is when I'm on the server there are a few people I will recognize by their name because obviously they play often enough for me to notice them. That's what I mean by regular after a certain time. I think with the community tag we should get the idea out that it can only be worn by those who deserve to and if they ask how you earn it then we go with the basics like their dedication on the server, loyalty, honesty, not breaking rules, etc.

Again I agree, but I was more concerned with the implementation.

How about a subforum where all you have to do is ask? That would require registration, a post, and someone on staff or even other forum members to recognize you and give thumbs up. If there are objections or issues, those can be debated here too. Give it a sticky detailing what's expected of =PF= tag wearers so you don't have to go through a lengthy explanation during constant gunfire and random babble. This way when someone asks in game if they can have a tag, just point them to the forums and let the community be involved in approval.

    Another excellent idea.

How about 2 admin's approval before you can wear it?

And there should be a list of people approved to wear it, somewhere on the forums.

Then when you type !tag or something, you can check who is and isn't on the list.

That would be hot. We should definitely set something up where people just have to type up !PFME or something and we have a list of different types of tags and like say something under the lines of "support the PF community!" blah blah blah. You guys get the point.
