Admin Abuse: Brian

Incident: I joined the Minigames server and it was on one of those racing style events where you have to quickly dodge objects and such and race to the end. Like most players in the server they do not enjoy this map and yeah they aren't good at it. So they were frustrated from playing a few rounds and wanted to rock the vote. The server population was about ~30 people and a lot were groaning and started RTV'ing. Mr Brian here said if anyone RTV's he will stop it sense he wanted to play the map. Keep in mind we needed about 18 or so RTV's and were up to about 15. I have a microphone and stated you know obviously the greater group of people just don't want to play this map that is why they are RTV'ing and we should RTV if you dont want to play the map. Yeah we aren't as good as other players at it but who cares. One admin decides to kick me from the server with no reason given, I quickly reconnect and ask why was I kicked from the server, a simple question you would think. They told me rudely to "STFU and play"- still can't give a logic mature reason why I was kicked. I again tried to ask you know all I really said is if people want to RTV that is fine. Then our short fuse admin brian gives me a temp ban for an 1hr and 40 minutes for the reason "whine". He clearly wanted to play the map and made it clear early on that if anyone tries to RTV the map he wanted to play he would silence them. With about 30 people in the server more than half the server wasn't having fun and wanted to RTV. The minority which just so happened to have admin powers abused their power to silence anyone who wanted to change the map..

This happened so quick I couldn't get much of a SS or Demo. I just assumed admins here would act mature with power but some can't handle it clearly. Do I expect Brian to be punished? No I bet all his buddy admins will run to cover his ass but hey its worth a try. Also you would think with your "Admin Abuse" section of the forums having a TON of complaints you would think there is a problem, but that is just my opinion.

FYI.. Brian is one of the owner in this server.. It's his server, he has the right to decide what map it should be at any point of time. Just an advice, learn more about our server's hierachy before you post an admin abuse thread next time.

If people are spamming rtv map after map I will stop the rtv if I see it, if this was the case.

How come its never a straight point to the issue and no screen shot of the incident?

It's not hard to open console and hit your print screen button.

It's also not hard to follow the correct format for submitting abuse threads.

If an admin tells you something and you go against it, chances are he's not going to be too happy and do something about it.
