Admins, Is a Mic Preferred?

    I know having a mic. is not technically required to be an admin, but is it preferred? I know of some admins without them, but can you do your job better with a mic? Sorry if this is the wrong forum!

    We've got plenty of admins who never talk and it doesn't seem to hinder then at all, I don't think its really that big a deal.

    Well, if you have a mic, you might sometimes forget that you have to issue warnings through TEXT chat.
    So in some cases it's even worse to have a mic.

    i have a mic which i don't use much. using chat is good b/c the high admins can pull logs for proof while the only to have proof through mic is with a demo.

    As indicated by everyone else, having a mic is not an advantage to being an admin. Basically its how you handle yourself that matters most.. :smile:
