only thing i support is votemute as that isn't as bad if it got abused, voteban is to risky and votekick meh.

I say don't do it at all as it can only be abused.

I would vote but you cannot complete the vote if you disagree with this entirely.

Also, I think if this ever came down to an actual vote to implement this it should be an admin/donor only vote.

I disagree with it for every reason that has been listed before me.

I believe these powers are abused and would create more work for admins investigating the abuse.

It would cause members to gang up on eachother and could encourage unnecessary punishments for players who don't deserve to be muted, kicked, ect.

If you are so passionate about player abuse or admin laziness I suggest paying the 15 dollars a month to REALLY make a difference yourself.

I concur. Being votemuted maliciously is merely an annoyance, whereas kicks and bans can cause trouble for us.

No. niet. None. We always have an admin in reach to take care of something. In my opinion it is something we do not need.

    Agree with this fully.

We had this in the past and it got abused. We will not be adding voting. I appreciate you trying to help out though Carl. Soon we'll have a ticket system setup where admins who are not in-game can receive reports from players in-game. Admins will also be able to execute commands from out of game if need be, though they should join to verify the issue at hand. They will be able to see in-game chat as well, so if a player is spamming "N*****" or some other racial slur, the admin will be able to warn or ban from outside the game.

Can't guarantee anything as we don't know what technical difficulties we may come across yet, but if we're lucky enough to get it going the way we want it then it'll definitely be available to all admins. So far it's looking pretty good.

One idea we're toying with is having sort of a central command center where all admin-only chat will go, from there you can talk to admins that are in-game in any server, ie: "@pf-zm1 Yeah Nebraska blahblahblah" or "@pf-gg you sure he has aimbot? I'll come in and check" - of course the @pf-xx is specifying what server you want to talk to and "@" means admin-only chat. Regular public chat would also be available but not in "command central" - otherwise that place would just be a clusterfuck of text relays. Another idea is to be able to broadcast a message to all servers in case the box needs to be restarted or something: "!broadcast Server restarting in 1 minute!" etc - this of course will only be available to root. The reports from all servers will also go to command central and admins in there will be able to reply only to the player that issued the report and the player's replies in-game will be private as well only appearing to admins in-game (if there are any... probably won't be if the player issued a report to begin with) and in command central.

All of this will be protected so non-admins can't get in and access it.

Just something amusing I witnessed a while back:

On another zombie mod server, about 4 - 5 guys were sitting in crouch spots getting tons of kills. The admin got on and told them to get out and then froze them.

Those guys ganged up and initiated a voteban on the admin. Even though there were 25 people playing, you needed 2/3 majority for the ban to take effect. After the 4 votes, it took off like a firestorm and everyone started to voteban the admin. The admin was banned, but he quickly unbanned himself and permabanned those individuals who started the vote.

I personally thought it was hilarious, but it brings up a point that a firestorm or mob mentality can easily take over to ban someone who does not deserve it.

I agree, voteban, votemute or other commands can be abused by players and can create issues on the servers. Thankfully, I have quite a few admins on my friends list on steam who I can call up if needed

lol What shitty nontrained admin would vote to ban? They can just....Ban them
And There's normally like what, 3 donators on max. at any given time? I think that'd be easier to gang up on someone then with the whole rest of the server.

Put vote in for mute(Commands like !ztele still work on mute, or atleast they did last time I pissed off Haplo.), make the first options(1.2.3.4) exit the prompt, then have 5 and 6 as don't mute, mute, respectively.

Oh yeah! Can a brotha get a map nomination?

The voting is pertaining to the topic at hand and the ACTUAL VOTE HE CREATED. Not the actual system. Is it possible for you to not act like an asshole on 99 percent of your posts?

let's not have any voting on these cases, there is a reason why some of the members pay for Admin!
and I've seen your admins serve justice right!
