download demo, put .dem file into cstrike folder, launch css, open console, type "playdemo name.dem" side note - you need to have the map the demo is taking place on otherwise it will not play.
Both, I cant view them in SB and when i download. I don't even get the save option to put it into my cstrike folder toxic. I try to upload mine thru x-fire, it takes forever to upload only to find out that it didn't upload.
I have the same problem, I get an error everytime I try to download a SourceBans dem file. I can't upload any demos to SB either.
Reviewing - So here is what happens. I click review demo and it opens up in media player. I get a really loud screeching sound for a split second then it ends. Uploading - I record demos with x-fire, and i put them in my c-strike folder. I click to "upload a demo" in SB. Takes forever to upload (dont even know y). Click save in that menu, afterwards i click "Save Changes". I hope that's enough detail for you. Help me out.
Why are you recording demos with xfire? Use the console to record .dem files. You also can only uplaod certain formats to SB.
Because its easier that way for me, to lazy to go into console and type record. Tell me how would you do it. Format?Program to view demos? How you upload? etc.
1) I go into console type record "name". 2) open up the folder on my harddrive where my .dem files are located and open SB to upload the .dem file directly to the ban page. 3) ??? 4) Profit Obviously it's not that easy if you're having these problems and others are not with the way I do it.
I know how to do that, but y can i not view them in media player. It doesn't give me an option to download the demos to review them in CSS console.
yeah because it's not supported by VLC or windows media player. It's a special compilation of stuff. not an actual video. You have to open CS:S, open your console and type: playdemo "name.dem" where you replace the word name in parenthesis with the actual name you gave the .dem file. You have to put it in your cstrike folder on yoru computer for the console to be able to play it as well. All this is located in a post here.
So if the console is the only way to view other peoples demos, then y can i not download it to save and view in my console. Every time I click "Review Demo" it goes straight to "Media Player". Could it be because i am using Google Chrome as my web browser.
nvm, i figured it out all on my own. Google chrome wouldn't allow me to download and save, so i had to use mozilla firefox.
