Ok quite a few people have enquired about how i made all my bullet sounds very silent so i can hear the mic better so now im gonna post it, its very simple and shouldn't take too long, here goes:

1:First im going to suggest a site to download a weapon skin, we dont need the skin just the custom sound i will post the link/url http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/1768, select open file and save the sound folder somewhere on desktop or something

2: Go into your Program files/Steam/Steamapps/[yoursteamid]/counter-strike source/cstrike/sound folder. Inside there should be a while bunch of folders, some for maps lots of other shit, scroll down and look for weapons folder, go in and all weapons should have seperate folder.

3: Copy the 2 sound files from the P90 sound folder (they should be p90-1 and p90-2)

4: Paste both files in every weapon folder.

5: Go inside each folder and replace each weapon-1 sound with the p90 ones, some have only 1 sound, and i think the ak has 4, so just duplicate and rename them accordingly, extra ones shouldnt matter if theres only 1 in there. the easiest way i found to replace the folders was to select the original and CUT the name and rename the original to 111 or 222 or something, then paste the name to replace the p90-1 or p90-2 sound name, delete the 111/222 original files and move on to the next folder.

Thats pretty much it, if anyone knows of a quieter sound or even a file with "null" sound to completely remove bullet sounds please post a link or a way to do so, hope this helps when you have 20 guys shooting and trying to hear people talk

if i had to delete and replace the sounds, i'd have to delete my skins as well, lol it wouldn't match up with the ones i got right now.

I don't wanna have to reinstall them all just to want to use them on another server. Everyone usually uses either the auto snipers ( not that loud) and the m4 anyway, (Which sound like someone's shooting air when silenced) but that's just me. who knows who's using what sounds on thiers.

What i used to do and still do, is get a skin i like then find sounds from other skins that i like = <3. i set a folder aside for all of my other sounds i can replace one i get tired of those ones.

EDIT: oh right, If there were no bullet sounds it would be really hard to find hiders :s I find all my targets using the noise from guns lol

jesus people im not forcing you to do it at gunpoint im just saying how i did it, you dont have to do it if you dont want to i just like hearing people when 20 people are shooting  and you dont have to delete the sounds you can move them to a seperate folder and return them afterwards if you like lol

yes, i know, I have an account for vent lol. john walked me thru it, i was just saying it would be easier for all the admins to talk there because you can lower in game vol. and hear everyone better. you can still talk in-game of course.
