So... I'm looking to branch out from my current music groove. TOOL is IMO the all-time best band ever. And as such, i've been listening to a choice selection from their discography for a while now, with a few short breaks. I need help creating a few other avenues for my listening pleasure. Here is what I'm looking for: TOOL-like: Haven't found anybody out there that gives me the hard-on that this band does. If you know of a similar sound, let me know. Epic RAWK - something like "Welcome Home" by Coheed and Cambria. A playlist of symphonic or electronic EPICAWESOMENESS Techno* - not your average techno... something between techno and trance to completely zone out to like that section of Windowlicker featured in Grandma's Boy. Also see: the entire Solaris and Sunshine soundtracks. NOTE: I do enjoy completely instrumental stuff, so bonus points to songs with no words. (Insert rickroll here) Neb
JD, if I weren't married.... and lived in Montreal..... I would tell you in person how awesome you are.
Try CheVelle for a Tool-like sound. I recommend the This type of thinking (could do us in) and Wonder what's next album. If you are looking just for certain songs. Try Mia by CheVelle.
Nebraska did you get a hold of a song from my list Euro Fantasy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mv8efpL2bUQ and Studio 33 - eurodanceparty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2C7uEFKnqg&feature=related Those are some I find on youtube, I have all of them if you can not find them I can upload them
This might be a dumb question, but you've listened to A Perfect Circle right? I know a few people who Like tool, but never heard APC. bands that sound like tool? Hmmm I found this band called "russian circles" they're instrumental but still pretty good. Also there's a band called "Porcupine tree", they're not as "Heavy" as tool but just as....Amazing? And of course Audioslave<3<3<3 Also this Band DevilDriver is pretty good And the only techno I listen to is Angerfist Which is Holland Hardcore or speedcore or hardcore techno....Or something.
these might be decent alternatives: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhvVBvF9-98 or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gO3mGPXeSE
