When filing a 'player abuse' or 'admin abuse' complaint, please include
    1) The name(s) and/or steam ID(s) of the offender(s)
    2) A brief description of the incident
    3) ALL claims of hacking or admin abuse MUST include some form of proof. ALL UNSUBSTANTIATED CLAIMS WILL BE LOCKED OR DELETED IMMEDIATELY.

There is a place for admins to discuss their views on these matters - keep it where it belongs.

    --------------------------------------------------------------
    To obtain Steam IDs
    1) Go into your console (press the '~' key)
    2) Type status
    3) Find the player's name and copy the *ENTIRE LINE* into your post. It should look something like:

    1030 "Player's Name" STEAM_0:0:10364169 02:40 102 0 active

    --------------------------------------------------------------
    To take a screenshot
    1) Press Ctrl - Prt Scrn (I.e. press and hold the Ctrl key. While holding the Ctrl key down, press the Prt Scrn key)
    3) Exit out of CS:S (you can press Ctrl - Esc to minimize the game)
    4) Open up MS Paint (or some other paint program).
    5) Press Ctrl - v to paste the screenshot
    6) Save the screenshot as a JPEG file
    7) Upload the JPEG file to a file sharing site (like www.imgur.com) and copy the image link into your post.

    --------------------------------------------------------------
    To Record a Demo
    1) Go into your console (press the '~' key)
    2) Type record filename
    3) Steam will now record everything you see in the game.
    4) Once you have the evidence, go to the console and type stop filename
    5) A demo has now been saved on your computer with the file name filename.dem This file will be located in your ...\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\<your user name>\counter-strike source\cstrike folder
    6) Upload the file to a file-sharing site and post the link in your post.

Just to add. If anyone has trouble opening the console to retrieve Steam IDs, please refer to this post to read how to enable the console.

There's a much easier way to do screenies. Dunno how long this has been implemented in CS:S by default, but according to config.cfg:

    bind "F5" "jpeg"

which dumps a 90% quality screenshot into:

    ...\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\<steam name>\counter-strike source\cstrike\screenshots

and gives it a filename according to the map you're on at the time, such as zm_roy_the_ship0000.jpg

Reminding everyone that this rule is going to be enforced more harshly, post will be deleted and if it becomes and habit posting privileges will be restricted.
