Important News for Admins 09-14-2008

There is a lot of threads about inconsistency in pf. We have higher up admins that don't get along and we have regular admins that cause trouble in the server.

Well I am putting a end to it right now because this is getting ridiculous.

So since kyle, john and me have had some rough times with changing stuff and giving access to stuff that one of us will disagree with. Any major changes to someones admin status or access to forums such as administrator has to be posted in global admin and agreed on by all 3 of us. Same thing goes for for making changes to admin groups. If cam and sauce want to throw there thoughts in that is obviously fine also. This whole thing with kyle or john giving someone access and the other disagreeing and taking it away is just not going to work out. This is getting old with you two fighting and if you cant control it why don't you both leave than? I have tried getting you two to get along but either one of you will refuse and its not gong to work out this way anymore. So that is gong to be put to a end now.


Admins since I cant stop myself from abusing I am not gong to play in pf anymore so I am not a hypocrite.

Here is how admin abuse is going to work. The admin gets one warning that is documented in chat logs and sent over to me with the time and date. I check the logs and confirm it. After a second time admin is taken. If the admin is saying stuff over the mic it needs to be on a demo. So paid admins being removed for abuse is now going to be enforced.

Maybe this will clean pf up a bit and will get me to not want to storm out and leave.

I like that we're enforcing our rules even more now... that should help eliminate or intimidate newer pay admins from abusing.

but Ck not abusing? c'mon that's like a fish without water. everytime you "abuse" its always something fun, but there was always about 2 or 3 players that were like "aww that's cheap! why'd you do that? ADMIN ABUSE!!!". and that would be 3 out of 40 players on the server. (NOT regulars, mind you. regulars often are in on the abusing joke) so don't just up and leave mang. i wanna see everyone still here when i get my computer fixed. and play with everyone here when i get it fixed. i'll need to reinstall everything though

Is that sarcasm? i cant tell if it were to slap me right in the face. I am not saying they cant have fun but when they do something that gets half the server bitching at them and i get 5 pms saying so and so did this. It gets a little irritating.

no, no sarcasm intended. what im saying is, it's always a few players trying to cause trouble in the server when we try to make things more interesting. such as low-grav, lowER-grav,etc.... they get mad because it's "unfair" or "annoying" when about 75% of the server would like a change of pace from normal old ZM to trying to shoot floating zombies .



Low Grav Zombie Skeet shooting > Normal ZM

but every once in awhile. i mean, see how many players liked megabox with no friction? it was easy for zombies to get kills, lol. adding low grav to that would be massacre. so we can keep the mild "abuse", as they'd call it, because it doesn't hurt anyone directly. it gives more skilled players an edge, and weaker players menstrual cramps.

I wish things were like they used to be... we all had a blast and noone bitched near as much.

I remember back when I regularly played here, abuse reports were taken very seriously. Then again, we also didn't let every John Doe with a credit card buy admin.

most of them are either busy or planning on leaving, or just never on.

i'd hate to see anyone else go. this is irritating.

but as far as the new admins goes, if we aren't here to keep an eye on them, this place will be flooded with poorly filed abuse reports

Well if anyone has a problem with what i did please talk with me first i'd rather resolve a conflict in earlier stages then let it get out of hand, because I believe most of us can be civil and work things out.

1 slap abuse isn't the worst abuse we've ever gotten don't feel horribly guilty. I read your post you didn't know it was an accident

Sooo if we're all supposed to be adhering to the rules in a more strict fashion, under threat of demotion/removal of admin, I guess I can go ahead and cancel my admin, seeing as how the only reason i got admin in the first place was to prevent myself from being abused.
