Map rotation

    like most people I hate that we play only a few maps. We normally switch out of a new map because we don't give it a chance.
    I think if we could have a set map list and use the rtv to bring up a vote to switch it to the next map, we'd play the less popular maps abit more and make the game a bit more interesting and fun.
    As for the order I suggest we take the good maps that get played alot ans spread them out a bit, then put the others inbetween them.

    I don't know if this would be better in the long run, but I think every once and while just have a "set map list day" where everything gets played through in order. Kind of like megabox monday.

    Speaking of which if we do have the set map order I wouldn't mind having megabox be put back into the server.

    2. No map should be played a 2nd time till 8 maps get played, that's why there is no nominate.

    TBH, I don't miss megabox at all. I understand why some people like it, but personally, I find it VERY boring.

    I miss megabox, but I understand why it had to be deleted. I'm over it.. but I do think we need to try and find some more maps that we can use. I was looking at some of them, but couldn't find anything that looked REALLY interesting. They all looked bland and boring.

    The problem I see with a set list is that some maps are absolutely horrible. So bad that they infact kill the server pop. And Haplo, are you talking about the floating props after megabox as the reason why it's broken? Megabox itself isn't too fun, add the correct physics, then it's fun. Take away the bounce wall and it loses some value. I loved the fact that a map that's just a giant box can have a secret.

    It never did when there were no physics adjustments to my knowledge. But then it is just a big box with walls that kill you. It does break props so you can't flip them though.

    Low grav. always messes up props on the next map, that's why id always double map change, back when we had grav control we could just set it to normal at the end of it and it would be fine.

    I thought Josh just added a script to add the physics when it was changed to that map? Or did he decompile the map to do that?

    well let's fix it. that map is the sex. there's no other server with a map like it.

    and the problem is the vote, I think we'll end up playing the same 8-10 maps aslong as one of them pop up as a vote option.
    with this you kind of force people to accept new maps and try them out.

    And if there's horrible maps in rotation, why the fuck do we still have them?
    I think maybe if we talk to a few other zombie mod servers and find what there popular maps are and add those to our servers we can eventually edit out all the bad maps. once we have a nice rotation of great maps, we can put the vote back in since it'll even the chances of all the options being selected.
