Yeah I just tried the new zombie mod earlier and it was rough. Zombies can no longer turn on or off the nightvision and whenever you play as a zombie it switches from a light green color to a hazy peach color. The lag is constantly present, if not worse than what it has been. I still enjoy plaguefest and am still gonna keep playing on the server, take it easy.
Personnally, I like the new zombie vision. It's very... well... zombie-like. It sure beats night vision.
I like the new vision better than night vision, but I guess I just liked the ability to turn off the "zombie vision". I also like the stats that show when u die, but they don't seem to go away? Anyone else notice this?
Its nice. Still think they should have the option to disabled the night vision. Even though its not night vision but whatever it is. Still should have option to disabled it.
Question: Does this new ZombieMod require people to re-upload maps? If so, then there's a problem with office outbreak (a map) as it is COMPLETELY pitch black. If not, there is still a problem with office outbreak with the same problem for an unknown reason. I tried on the new mod the other day and I liked it a lot. The new zombie vision is nice, and you don't get your eyes burnt out of your head when you turn into the zombie while looking at the in-game sun (of getting flashed). There weren't a lot of people to begin with, but are there now two starting zombies? I'm wondering this because we were playing yesterday and it seemed there were 2 zombies instead of one. I'll get back to you more later.
one thing to mention...often (maybe all, i dont always keep track), when the server changes to a new map, the zombie spawns immediately. I figure this is a bug, and not how its supposed to be? Also, i think people have been saying they would like to be able to toggle zombie vision. Thats all i can think of for right now.
The bugs are still to be sorted out. So zombie mod 2.0 is still in its beta stages...i think since full lighted maps are automatically turned to dark o.O
