After a couple of weeks of downtime, the server has reached it's state in restoration suitable enough to be re-opened to the public. The bare minimum is there, and we are working on restoring the rest of the server's features as we speak. The server may go down for a couple of hours maximum over the next few days to finalize the server restoration. In the mean time the server is functional. If you come across any problems please post here. PlagueFest un-announces Left 4 Dead Servers Please disregard the previous L4D server announcement, the community will not benefit in any way from having a dedicated L4D server in which the game lobby system would rarely direct us to.

@ Ray -fork is used for loading multiple servers off of one Parent (4 instances using 1 process in this case.) At the moment you can only connect to servers via the Steam server browser out of the game. EDIT: If you want to use the whole servers CPU, we could do 6 maybe (More if we had more than 4GB of Ram).
Just a quick update and a bump. For the official game release in your console type in openserverbrowser in your console and the classic server browser will pop up.
