that is one of my concerns, but steam would know it wasn't me and should reverse a VAC ban.

VALVe will not unVAC your account if your account was phished/hacked then VACed. It's in their EULA and on their FAQ page.

    thanks for the heads up.

well my account wasn't logged in after it was taken from me. so games were not played =O
if you are in offline mode and play games, it will show that you have logged on.

either way, there is no changing what happened.

I doubt you'd be flagged this quickly anyways. Most of the time, these are sold. In a day? I doubt they would've gotten through their list of 100s of accounts.

Also, for the lols of it:

A link can't steal your user/password, unless you yourself enter it.

A downloaded exe, however has a very high chance of stealing your password. It can be stolen if you save it, or if you're keylogged, when you enter it.

I extremely recommend a scanning of your pc with an ONLINE anti-virus. An anti-virus on your PC can be hijacked and listen to a virus instead of its database (yay!). If nothing is detected, keep a close eye on your running processes and shit. I'd recommend wireshark for this, but you need to be really good with it to do pretty much anything with it.
