The disabling of turbophysics...

Want less server lag? I'm gonna have to disable turbophysics, this mean you cant stand on props without sliding off and zombies cant use 'E' to move them, but they can use their knife to move barricades.

it will result in far less server lag and it would allow us to have up to around 52 slots. It will cut down on CPU by as much as 50%, and it will spike far less. What do you think?

    Yay, or nay?

I say lets do a trial of it for like a week. That way lots of ppl can try it out. Admins can to questionvotes on the server to see if ppl like it better and such. It doesn't have to be perm, but a week trial would be plenty long to figure out if we like it.

So, I'm down to trying it out.

    EDIT:

Cam was I on the server way long ago, when u disabled turbo physics (for a short bit), and it made like the barricade stuff almost impossible to move with a gun. Or was that some other setting?

I thought it made it impossible for the zombies to get through so once the ct built a barricade they were pretty much invincible. That is what I remember though.

    That will be another disadvantage.

I say keep the turbo physics. Half the fun of the zombie mod servers is jumping through the barricades as a zombie and surprising the humans hiding on the other side.

I remember last time the turbophysics were off. It made being a zombie far too easy. Since you slid off objects, it was possible to just run into a barricade and 'slide' right through, without any trouble. With the physics on, it takes a bit of skill to do that slide.

It also made objects extremely difficult to move as CT's for making barricades, which killed a lot of maps.
