    less porn?

Clean install, antivirus that doesn't fail(I use Avast), delete all cookies(and temp items) and fix your browser settings, less porn(again).

I would personally try avast first, if it doesn't help, do a clean install.

My check list for viruses (most of it is common sense, which a lot of ppl lack):

-Install antivirus software and update it.

    -Scan and scan some more.

-If it catches anything and cannot remove it, Google the name to find a specific fix. Do this even if it seems to have "deleted" the virus.

-If it does not catch anything, install alternate software and repeat until you find something.

-Back up your files in case things get nasty.

-Use your antivirus to try and fix the problems, while also applying the specific fix. You can even boot into safemode if you need to.

-Update your computer / defragment / use CCleaner and HijackThis

-Add firewalls, spyware tools, secure your PC (close ports and backdoors).

-Get a safe browsing tool such as WOT, or anything similar.

    -Quit downloading porn!

sounds like you got a rootkit, run hitman pro 3.5, that should get rid of it, trial version works. Uninstall after its removed.

Actually the Ad-Aware fixed it.. Whatever it was it was smart it acted just like an anti virus popping up and said ur shits infected after i clicked exit another window popped up and looked as it was scanning my hard drive but it wasnt.. The thing i dont get is how it would redirect me to a diff site every time i clicked a link that had ad-aware in it. The link Kyle gave me worked and it got rid of it so thanks again.. and thanks for all the suggestions.

do a scan with spybot search & destroy, malwarebytes, and hitman pro. What AV are you running? The free version of Avast5 has good heuristics, might look into it.

I also suggest you disconnect from the internet while running those scans. If they keep coming up, you can scan in safe mode and see if that'll help.

I had this same exact sort of thing a few weeks ago.

I first ran Malwarebytes, then after restarting, used ComboFix.

ComboFix is fucking amazing, it's all a command line program too, so just run it and follow the instructions it gives.

It took a while but my computer was completely fixed. I thought I'd have to reinstall, I couldn't even open programs before I ran ComboFix!

I've seen this before. Just follow my advice. Get a program like AVG to scan and find the virus name. I can bet it's virtumondo or something similar... You will have to follow specific instructions to get rid of a virus like that. That's why you try and find out an alias for it.

If I remember correctly virtumondo wrote itself in explorer.exe, so any attempt to remove it wouldn't matter because it was already in memory. What I did was I got the removal tool for it, booted into safe mode, started up the tool (and anything else you might need), killed explorer.exe (which kills your taskbar / desktop) to delete the virus when it wasn't running. I'm not saying you have this particular virus but it looks VERY similar. Probably an updated version of it.

    Good luck.
