Well i still think if someone gives a program that even though doesn't harm the computer it does something the user doesn't want its still arg i dont know it would be classified as a virus, trojan or what. Maybe someone with more experience could classify it.

    Yes your correct
That is the definition of a VIRUS depending on what it does do could be a trogan which is different form a plain virus its kinda its own category .
I recommend EeYe software use blink. OR AVG avast -
And as always Adaware and spybot search and destroy.

A trojan is a virus that opens ports for the "attacker" to litterally control your computer from a remote location with you or not with you knowing. A normal computer virus (as do human ones) spread like wild fire causing horrible horrible damage along the way infecting everything.... So scout's "virus" would be considerd not a "virus" but more or less a script that is easily made. If you really wanted to cause damage make a batch file and type in
    @echo off
    format C:

    Thanks for reading

Ps: AVG and AVAST and all of those even norton dont work well against anything if ur P2Ping.. Kaspersky anti-virus (not the security bundle shit (takes up too much memory)) is the best way to go for anti-virus and Zone-Alarm for a decent firewall.

not all of them do that some just open the pc up for useful trogans as well as full automated ones that just send your files out:razz:
but yea watch out for those port eaters

    btw Blink is a AIO
its meant for someone HEAVY into watching what goes on it will ask all the time to do anything just gotta train it.
Dosent seem to take up much of my

arg since we are on a topic of viruses and trojans most of the time people get a virus or trojan its usually there own fault, download a bad file through whatever source. Most of the time its the user that downloads the file from wherever unknowingly that lets the virus or trojan get in the system.

I once got a trojan because i was fucking around with cmd and pinged my own ip address and i told my firewall to allow backdoor in and i found a virus it was callled a backdoortrojan hord so i had to reinstall zonealarms to reset my default settings to allow 0 out side hackers in. So what did we learn. never let people come in the backdoor on your computer because they can do very harmfull stuff.

This is absolutly sad you have no idea what you are talking about..... Your computer can be recoverd if you delete /windows/system32 easily.

    1) Find the damn windows cd/dvd where ever u put it
    2)Still Looking....
    3) Ah Found it
    4) turn on your computer
    5) open the cd/dvd tray and pop in the cd/dvd of WindowsXP
    6) Press any Key To Boot Off Cd... (Press a key)
    7) Wait for the cd/dvd to finish loading all of its drivers so you install goes smoothly
    8) press R for recovery.
    9) Type in ur administrator Password
    10) Select The Drive To recover
    11) Wait For It To Complete
    12) make a sandwich or coffee
    13) Ah its done
    14) restart ur computer manually
    15) take the cd/dvd out
    16) ur comp should boot (IT MAY BE SCREWED OVER But it will run)
    17) Thank Kyle For the nice little tut.
