So, last night I was playing some zambiemad. Then, for some reason, this message popped up on my screen:

Does anyone have any idea what this means? I was thinking it had something to do with directx or something, but when I went into the video options, it showed that both the software and hardware directx versions were 9.0/9.0+.
And I'm guessing it's not a server-side issue, seeing as I asked if anyone else saw the message, and apparently no one had.

    WHAT DOOO?!

Get a graphics card that supports directx9. And type -dxlevel 90 in the advanced startup options for CSS. If you don't know how to get to it you right click on the game and hit properties > Set launch options.

Well, I have a 9800 GTX+ (DirectX 10 enabled) that I've been playing the game on for, what, 2 years now? I've never seen this message before.

its a problem with ZR some people get it, idk why really, only thing i can recommend is "type -dxlevel 90 in the advanced startup options for CSS. If you don't know how to get to it you right click on the game and hit properties > Set launch options."

Well, I just downloaded and installed the latest drivers from Nvidia. I'll try to get on the server tonight and see if shit's still weird. If so, I'll try what you suggested. Thanks for the tip.

Well, I didn't get the message again, but Counterstrike apparently encountered an error and had to quit the game. Twice. Although it seemed to only be on the ZM server.
Ughh... I'm too tired to rage about this.

    maybe just restart steam?

Or restart your computer? As that usually has a quick fix to things.

I get that error too but it brings up an extremely uncanny disposition of the fuck-its and I can't shake them, Sergeant. I think it makes my game go zoom zoom, so as long as I keep that mindset, I'm good and fine with it.
