I kinda failed the Genuine windows product test thingy, and it's starting to fuck my shit up. [img=http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/2470/11409738.th.png] http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/2470/11409738.png The black blank side is the second screen, ignore that. What happened was the Windows "G-bar"(For short) popped up on the light blue screen where you can access diffrent user accounts. Then we turned off the computer, elt it sit for a night, then I turned it on this morning and when I logged in it had a windows G-bar in the bottom right corner and it removed my background. Does anyone know what I should do to stop/slow down the proccess? I heard it will eventually not let you log in. I'm thinking it spread further because I turned it off, should I not turn it off anymore? Or should I just leave it off 'till my dad comes back from Fort Bliss, 'cause he knows all the computer crap and I really want him to be able to fix this before it locks us out, or atleast get a real copy of windows installed before he goes IA. Please, any help is Needed.
Download windows 7 Rc1 its free and has almost no bugs. And burn it to a disk and tell your dad once he gets back so at least you can have a back up of windows.
it shouldn't spread any further, i know someone whos had that for a few months now it just keeps popping up and changes your background bit unlucky was it legit windows before? , as a sudden change is a bit unusual
the bar in the bottom left corner that says "You may be a victim of software counterfeiting. This copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation" then next to it says "ask for Genuine Microsoft Software" I know a new windows system would fix it, I was wondering how long before they try to shut everything down. It Kinda wasn't legit. :whistling: Okay, I'll search rc1 up later. thanks I'll get him to do that when he gets back, I really don't want to fuck anything up. Thanks everyone for Helping.
You get 30 days before it forces you to get a real key or reformat. How old was your crack? None of the recent ones have/will be detected. They're too busy with Vista (and preparing for Win7 piracy issues).
