Decided to make this due to the fact that i recently purchased a xbox for 80 bucks at EB. Just thought other members if they have a xbox/360 could tell other people there gamer tag and play together.
I got an Xbox and a 360. Can't remember my gamer-tag for Live though. I'll post it later maybe, if I remember to check it. -Reaper
I had an opportunity to get a free XBox Elite, or a free IPod Touch 16 GB. I chose the IPod, so I can't really contribute to this thread.
It was a tough decision. Obviously both are great in their own way, and if I were to own a gaming system, it would probably be an XBox (based on the game selection). The bottom line was that I am very busy right now, and an XBox would be nothing but a negative for my productivity. Any time that I was playing the XBox would be time that I *should* be doing something else. Hence I would *always* feel guilty whenever I was playing on the XBox. An IPod, on the other hand could serve as a source of background music while I am at work, and a portable video player/web browser when I would otherwise be sitting around doing nothing (such as flying on a commercial liner that has no in-seat entertainment). It unfortunately doesn't give you the option to update the calender with your own schedule (something that I am still mad about...) but the bottom line is that the IPod could serve as non-distracting entertainment while I am busy working, and portable entertainment when I would otherwise have nothing else to do.
Mer google on jailbreaking your ipod touch and there is a hack for the touch to add events! ill help you out if you need it..
Thanks ck, Another friend of mine pointed it out to me and I can't wait to try it out... Fed Ex came by yesterday when I wasn't home... It must be my IPod... I can't wait!
If you hack your ipod touch it voids the warranty and messes up the sei number or something so they will know. Also you cant do any future apple updates until or unless the hacking community gets on top of it. So like i said you will have no warranty and anyting that goes wrong will have to be fixed out of your own pocket or buying another one most likely.
Thanks for the words of caution, ck. I can no longer plead ignorance when talking to apple, ..."but I *thought* hacking into your new product and changing its code was perfectly acceptable. My IPOD is broken, why won't you send me a new one??"
YW, I was just letting you know its not a walk in the park and there are consequences so you have to decide if its worth it. I think its worth it because i hacked the shit out of my iphone! Even though yours is a ipod touch owell. But i cant get that stupid apple update because of it and now i want it!
